You’re not alone. And you shouldn’t have to figure this out alone either.

Addiction doesn’t just affect the person struggling—it leaves a ripple effect across everyone who loves them.

If you’re here, chances are you’ve been carrying the weight of someone else’s pain.

You’ve been the one holding it together.

The one trying to stay hopeful, while watching your loved one spiral.

The one walking on eggshells, saying the “right” things, and trying not to fall apart.

We see you. We’ve been there. And we created the Family Reconnect Program to support you.

This is for you if…

  • You feel emotionally drained, anxious, or constantly on edge

  • You’ve tried everything—tough love, support, boundaries—and still feel stuck

  • You’re unsure how to help without enabling

  • You feel like you're losing yourself in someone else's recovery

  • You crave connection, clarity, and peace in the middle of the chaos

The Family Reconnect Program is a 12-week experience designed just for you—the parent, partner, sibling, or friend who’s walking this journey beside someone struggling with addiction.

You want to support them.

But you also want to feel safe, sane, and whole again.

This is how you get there.

What You’ll Gain:

✅ Stronger communication and more honest conversations

✅ Tools to rebuild trust without feeling like you're starting from scratch

✅ Healthy boundaries that protect your peace and support their recovery

✅ Emotional healing for the pain addiction has left behind

About The Real Recovery Talk Team

Thomas Conrad

Certified Addiction Counselor

Tom Conrad is a Certified Addiction Counselor and the host of Real Recovery Talk, a podcast dedicated to helping families and loved ones navigate addiction. Tom started his podcast in 2017 after noticing that families and loved ones often didn’t have access to resources or know where to find them. As the show's host and counselor, Tom speaks from his experiences of having multiple years of sobriety and helping thousands of families.

Tom was born and raised on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended a technical school and worked as an auto technician for 10 years, which involved a lot of drinking and drug use. In 2010, Tom took the opportunity to go to treatment in Florida and has been sober ever since. Tom has an established life now in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he lives with his wife Amanda and his three kids, Levi, Hattie, and Winnie.

Dr. Pamela Tambini

Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine

Dr. T’s education/training began with her undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii at Mano, followed by Medical School at Ross University. She did her residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine Palm Beach Regional Campus. She is Double Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She has worked in the Treatment field for 8 years in South Florida and works with Tennessee, GA, and MS facilities.

Her passion is impacting patients, families/loved ones, and other addiction professionals by treating everyone with humility and compassion. Her interests include exercise (she competed in CrossFit games on a team in 2012, 2016, and 2017 and still incorporates that training into her daily routine), snowboarding, beach time, and spending time with her pet, Keiki.

Ben Bueno

Certified Addiction Counselor & Interventionist

Ben is a Certified addiction counselor in Florida and a nationally certified interventionist. He attended Palm Beach State University in their Addiction Studies program. Ben has been on his journey in recovery and sober since 2010. He overcame IV drug use, alcoholism, and all of the associated consequences of those substances.

In 2013, Ben began working as a professional in the addiction recovery industry. He started his career as a frontline employee and worked up to executive management. His knowledge base extends from client and clinical services to licensing and standards. His passion lies in heavy involvement with clients and individuals who need help with substance abuse. This is not limited to the treatment setting but my involvement with 12-step programs. My other interests and passions include being a life-long surfer since I was eight and bodybuilding and fitness.

My husband’s addiction nearly tore our family apart. The road to recovery has been long and challenging, full of peaks and valleys, but through it all, we've found strength and hope. The stories and expert interviews on this podcast have been a lifeline for us, offering guidance and encouragement at every step. I’m grateful for the community it has created, helping us connect with others who truly understand what we’re going through.
